THE PARLIAMENT CONSIDERS AMENDMENTS TO LAW “ON STATE PROPERTY”
Georgian government has submitted to the Parliament of the country the draft of amendments to law “On State Property”. The draft was supported today by the Committee on Branch Economy and Economic Policy.
BECAUSE OF EXPANSION OF AREA OF CONTROL-SUBJECTED OBJECTS, NUMBER OF INSPECTORS OF LABOR SAFETY IS PLANNED TO INCREASE
Beka Peradze, head of department of labor conditions overview at Georgian Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection, said that only 40 inspectors of labor safety operate currently in scales of the country.
However, because of expansion of area of control-subjected objects, number of inspectors must be increased, Peradze pointed.
2 AGREEMENTS IN SPHERE OF MOTOR TRANSPORTATIONS ARE SUBMITTED TO THE PARLIAMENT FOR RATIFICATION
Agreements in sphere of motor transportations with China and Kazakhstan are submitted to Georgian Parliament for ratification. Both documents were supported by the Committee on Branch Economy and Economic Policy today.
AS OF JUNE 30, PROFIT OF INSURANCE COMPANIES INCREASED BY 19.8% Y-O-Y
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that net profit of Georgian insurance companies totaled as of June 30 to 19.57 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2018, the volume has increased by 19.8%.
IN TOTAL PREMIUM, ATTRACTED IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR, 3 KINDS OF INSURANCE ACCOUNTED FOR 72.36%
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted in the first half of this year (345.32 million lari), 3 types of insurance accounted for 72.36% (against of 75.12% in the same period of 2018).
The top three is unchanged: medical (health) insurance, insurance of land transport (except railway) and property insurance.
ROADS DEPARTMENT: REHABILITATION OF MARNEULI-TETRITSKARO-TSALKA ROAD SECTION IS NEAR TO END
Rehabilitation of 7.7-km section of Marneuli-Tetritskaro-Tsalka road of domestic importance (Kvemo Kartli region) is near to end, Georgian Roads Department reported.
The road was heavily damaged and complicated movement of motor transport, the Department noted.
ABOUT 100 COMPANIES FROM 15 COUNTRIES TOOK PART IN “AGRO FOOD DRINK TECH EXPO 2019”
On November 20-22, Tbilisi exhibition center ExpoGeorgia hosted international exhibition of agriculture, food industry, processing and packing technologies (“Agro Food Drink Tech Expo 2019”).
As ExpoGeorgia reported, the event attracted about 100 companies from 15 countries.
