STARTING FROM 2023, MINIMUM HOURLY WAGE FOR DOCTORS AND NURSES TO BE ESTABLISHED
Georgian Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection decided to establish the minimum hourly wage for doctors and nurses from January 1, 2023.
As the Healthcare Ministry said, minimum wage for doctors, involved in the inpatient component of the universal healthcare program will make up 7 lari per hour (at least 1,260 lari per month), while for nurses – 4.4 lari (at least 792 lari per month).
HEALTHCARE MINISTRY APPROVED PERMISSIVE CONDITIONS FOR RESUSCITATION SERVICES
Georgian Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection declared that by September 1, 2023, all providers of rehabilitation services will be required to meet the licensing conditions for these services.
Besides, all clinics participating in the state universal healthcare program will be required to meet international accreditation standards from 2025, the Ministry said.

Georgian Justice Ministry reported that as of September 23, international arbitrations considered 7 lawsuits with Georgia as a side.
The potential maximum of the disputed amount within framework of these lawsuits makes up about $2.81 billion (or 7.87 billion lari), which corresponds to 13% of Georgia’s GDP for 2021, says fiscal risks analysis, enclosed by the Georgian government to the draft state budget-2023.
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW BASE OF SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES IN MUKHROVANI TO COST UP TO 70M LARI
A new military base of Georgian special operations forces is planned to build in Mukhrovani (Sagarejo municipality of Kakheti region). Cost of the project makes up to 70 million lari, the Georgian government reported.
ABOUT $16M TO BE SPENT ON IMPROVEMENT OF TBILISI SUBWAY STATIONS
About $16 million will be spent in order to increase accessibility and improve infrastructure of Tbilisi subway stations, declared Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the city government meeting today. The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
REHABILITATION OF YOUTH PALACE IN TBILISI TO BE COMPLETED IN 2024
Rehabilitation of the National Youth Palace, located on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, will be completed in 2024, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said today at the city government meeting.
The project, ordered by Tbilisi City Hall and Tbilisi Development Fund, was launched in 2020.
