    REVENUE SERVICE: NEITHER VESSEL UNDER RUSSIAN FLAG CALLING POTI PORT, NOR HER CARGO ARE SUBJECTED TO INTERNATIONAL SANCTIONS

    Revenue Service of the Georgian Finance Ministry reported that on July 19, the vessel Harmony, floating under the Russian flag, has called the Poti port.

    After the screening, conducted by Georgian Maritime Transport Agency, it was confirmed that neither the ship, nor its owner company, as well as the cargo, are subjected to international sanctions (imposed on Russia because of the war in Ukraine), the Service indicated.

    IN Q1, RATIO OF PORTFOLIO INVESTMENTS TO GEORGIA’S GDP MADE UP 0.9%

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that in the 1st quarter, ratio of portfolio investments to Georgia’s GDP made up 0.9%. In the same period of 2021, this ratio made up 1.5%.


    IN JUNE, GEORGIA’S EXPORT PRICE INDEX INCREASED BY 17.7% Y-O-Y, IMPORT PRICE INDEX – BY 6.3%

    Sakstat reported that in June, Georgian export price index has increased by 17.7% in comparison with the same month of 2021. If compared with the previous month (i.e. May), the index has decreased by 2.2%.


    IN JUNE, PPI IN TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING SERVICES INCREASED BY 19% Y-O-Y

    Sakstat reported that in June, Georgian producer price index (PPI) for temporary accommodation and catering services (food and beverage supplies) has increased by 19% in comparison with the same month of 2021. If compared with the previous month (i.e. May), the index has increased by 4.2%.


    IN Q2, RPPI IN TBILISI INCREASED BY 4.5% Y-O-Y

    Sakstat reported that in the 2nd quarter, residential property price index (RPPI) in Tbilisi has increased by 4.5% in comparison with the same quarter of 2021. If compared with the previous quarter, RPPI has increased by 0.7%.


    HEALTHCARE MINISTER: FROM 2025, CLINICS WILL BE OBLIGED TO MEET INTERNATIONAL STANDARD

    Zurab Azarashvili, Georgia’s Minister of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection, declared that clinics in the country will be given the opportunity to choose one of 2-3 standards of international accreditation, which they will have to meet from 2025. Only after the standard is met, clinics will be allowed to operate, he said, noting that several clinics have already passed such accreditation on their own initiative.

    YIELD ON BONDS OF “GEORGIAN RAILWAY” AND “GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION” REMAINS UNCHANGED

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that as of June, the yield on 10-year bonds of Georgian Railway, placed on London Stock Exchange (LSE), made up 1.2%. The rate remains unchanged since July 2021, while made up 0.9% in June 2021.


    IN JUNE, AVERAGE PRICE PER SHARE OF “BOG GROUP” ON LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE MADE UP 15.2 GBP, OF “TBC BANK GROUP” – 13.7 GBP

    National Bank of Georgia reported that as of June, average price per share of BOG Group (group of Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia)) on London Stock Exchange made up 15.2 GBP. The price has increased by 31% quarter-on-quarter and by 16% year-on-year.
