    “GALT&TAGGART”: GEORGIA’S ECONOMY WILL GROW BY 9.2% IN 2022

    Baseline scenario of Galt&Taggart forecasts 9.2% growth of Georgia’s economy for 2022.

    The alternative scenario, which implies continuation of high growth of external inflows until end of the year, projects an increase of 10.6%.


    “GALT&TAGGART”: GEORGIA WILL FULLY RECOVER TOURISM REVENUES TO THE PRE-PANDEMIC LEVEL IN 2022, ANNUAL GROWTH IN 2023 WILL MAKE UP 10%

    Galt&Taggart forecasts a full recovery of Georgia’s income from tourism to the pre-pandemic level in 2022. In 2023, we expect 10% annual growth, the company said in its recent review.


    IN 8 MONTHS, GEORGIAN BUDGET REVENUES MADE UP 93.5% OF 9 MONTHS’ PLAN

    Georgian State Treasury reported that in January-August, revenues of the state budget totaled to 10.04 billion lari. This corresponds to 93.5% of the volume, planned for 9 months, the State Treasury pointed.


    GEORGIAN GOVERNMENT INCREASED DAILY EXPENSES FOR OFFICIAL BUSINESS TRIPS

    At the meeting today, the Georgian government decided to increase the limit of daily expenses for official business trips. The relevant decree will enter in force in the coming days.


    FEE FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT TO BE GRADUALLY INCREASED

    Legislative amendments, initiated by the Georgian MPs, envisage gradual increase of the fee for a construction permit. The relevant bill was considered and supported in first hearing at the meeting of the Committee on Branch Economy and Economic Policy today, the Parliament reported.


    NBG: RULE OF INFORMATION PROVISION TO THE CREDIT INFORMATION BUREAU, ITS ACCOUNTING AND ACCESSIBILITY WAS AMENDED

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that amendments have been made to the rule of information provision to the Credit Information Bureau, its accounting and accessibility in the Bureau’s database. The main goal of the amendments is to improve the existing framework, NBG said.


    NBG: CREDIT INFORMATION BUREAU CAN BE REGISTERED AS A “PLATFORM”

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) offers interested parties the opportunity to register a credit information bureau as a “platform”.

    NBG reported that the platform will be an entrepreneurial entity that collects, processes and issues credit information about a person.


    DIRECTOR OF “GEORGIAN AIRPORTS ASSOCIATION”: ASIAN MARKET IS A PRIORITY FOR US AT THIS STAGE

    “The Asian market is a priority for us at this stage”, declared Tamar Archuadze, director of state-owned LLC Georgian Airports Association, which runs Kutaisi airport. “We are represented quite well on the markets of Europe and the Middle East, and are already talking about increase of flights’ frequency”, she pointed.
