ALLOCATIONS TO MINISTRY OF IDPS FROM OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, LABOR, HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL PROTECTION INCREASES FOR 6.6%
Primary draft of Georgia’s state budget-2019 envisages allocations to the Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection in amount of 3.86 billion lari (30.3% of total payments of the budget). If compared with the plan for 2018, the volume increases by 239.5 million lari, or by 6.6%.

FUNDING OF FIGHT AGAINST MARMORATED STINK BUG TO MAKE UP 35M LARI NEXT YEAR
Primary draft of Georgia’s state budget-2019 envisages allocations to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture in amount of 298.1 million lari.
Out of total, activities on food safety, protection of plants and epizootic reliability to be funded with 58.1 million, including 35 million lari on actions against marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys, the pest).
PLAN OF PRIVATIZATION REVENUES OF THE BUDGET FOR NEXT YEAR MAKES UP 60M LARI AGAIN
Primary draft of Georgia’s state budget-2019 envisages receipts under the article “reduction of non-financial assets” (privatization) in amount of 60 million lari.
To remind, the same volume was planned for 2018 (against of 90 million lari in 2017).

Today, political debate on reform of natural gas sector was opened in Tbilisi, Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported. The 2-day event is held within “EU4Energy Governance”, project of the Secretariat of European Energy Union.
IN 9 MONTHS, PASSENGER TRAFFIC AT GEORGIA AIRPORTS INCREASED BY 23% Y-O-Y
Georgian Airports Association reported that by data of 9 months of the year, Georgian airports had served up to 3.92 million passengers. As the Association noted, the passenger traffic increased in comparison with the same period of 2017 by 23%.
GEORGIAN ECONOMY MINISTRY: ISSUING OF PERMISSIONS STARTED TO TRUCK DRIVERS FOR TRANSPORTATIONS VIA TURKEY
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that its Land Transport Agency has started in Batumi issuing of permissions for freight transportations via Turkey.
The Ministry said that agreement, reached with the Turkish side, envisages issuing of 1,500 permissions at the first stage and additional permissions – in case of need.
REGISTRATION OF 17 CURRENCY EXCHANGE OFFICES CANCELLED
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared that after check, conducted in scales of Tbilisi, registration of 17 currency exchange offices was cancelled because of violation of the established requirements.
NBG specified that currency exchange offices, located at Tbilisi airport and tourist zones of the capital, did not provide properly information on currency exchange operations to customers.
