Ivanishvili specified that “the first reason is objectively existing adverse social and economic situation and continuous attempts to present this already difficult situation in sharper, artificially aggravated colors”.

ISET-PI: BUSINESS CONFIDENCE INDEX IN Q2 INCREASED

In the 2^nd quarter, Business Confidence Index (BCI) made up 39.6 points that by 8.3 points exceeds an indicator of the previous quarter, Policy Institute of International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET-PI) declared.

The Institute said that improved business confidence “is in line with the overall positive country performance”, indicating that Sakstat estimates rate of GDP growth in the 1^st quarter as 5.2%.




IN 2017, NUMBER OF TRANSACTIONS IN RTGS SYSTEM GREW BY 6.6%, WHILE THEIR VOLUME – BY 18.7%

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system served 21.8 million settlement transactions during 2017. In total, their volume amounted to 153.7 billion lari.




REGULATING COMMISSION TOUGHENS CONTROL OF INTERNET ACCESS QUALITY

National Communication Commission declared about adoption of rules for identification and control of quality of provided Internet service. Respective resolution will enter in force on August 15.
